Industrial-technical area
Industrial mechanics
Our industrial mechanics make equipment parts and assemblies for machines or production systems, set them up or convert them.
They monitor and optimise production processes at Kermi and deal with repair and maintenance tasks.
School education: Qualifying German Hauptschulabschluss (equivalent to qualifications upon leaving secondary school)
Training duration: 3.5 years
Practical training in our in-house training workshop with modern equipment: Basic education in the respective specialist area, placement in departments in the 2nd/3rd year of training, e.g. maintenance, electronics, metalworking shop, production
Processing of actual works orders
Internal lessons accompanying practical training and targeted preparation for exams by the instruction master Theoretical training: Deggendorf vocational school
Alongside the apprenticeship, training in the respective specialist area: e.g. CNC milling and turning, PLC technology, IT courses
Machine and system operators
At Kermi, machine and system operators prepare workflows, check machine functions on test beds and commission machines. They monitor the production process and control and monitor the material flow.
They also inspect and monitor machines at regular intervals to make sure they are always ready to be used.
Schooling required: Qualifying German Hauptschulabschluss (equivalent to qualifications upon leaving secondary school)
Training duration: 2 years
In the first year of the apprenticeship, practical training in our in-house training workshop with modern equipment
In the second year of the apprenticeship, training on the machine you will be working on later on

Electronics engineers
At Kermi, electronics engineers install, maintain and repair electrical operating, production and process systems, from switch systems and control systems, to energy supply systems and communication and lighting technology.
Schooling required: Qualifying German Mittelschulabschluss (equivalent to qualifications upon leaving secondary school)
Training duration: 3.5 years
Practical training in our in-house training workshop with modern equipment: Basic education in the respective specialist area, placement in departments in the 2nd/3rd year of training, e.g. maintenance, electronics, metalworking shop, production

Warehouse logistics specialists
Our warehouse logistics specialists put together shipments in our logistics centre, pick and package products, prepare the requisite papers and make sure that vehicles are loaded properly. They gain an insight into route planning and contribute to the preparation of loading lists and plans.
Their area of responsibility also includes vehicle unloading and the subsequent proper storage of products.

Training duration: 3 years
Practical training in our cutting-edge logistics centre: Extensive training with placements in various departments from first year of the apprenticeship, e.g. product picking, loading, customs and export department
Theoretical training: Dingolfing vocational school
Alongside the apprenticeship, training in the respective specialist area: e.g. fork lift truck licence
Technical product designers
Technical product designers participate in the development of technical products. In the specialist field of machine and plant construction, they design and construct components, assemblies or complete plants. When, for example a new product is being developed, then they use CAD systems to create 3D models.
They accompany the whole process of product development from the design to the finished data model. In this process, they work closely with our engineers and designers whose specifications they implement.
