Mainkofen District Hospital

The Mainkofen District Hospital is a modern, efficiently run specialist hospital with a total of 738 beds, distributed over the clinics for psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychosomatics, for neurology with a certified stroke unit, a clinic for early neurological rehabilitation, as well as for forensic psychiatry.
The facility, founded in 1911 in the District of Lower Bavaria, presents itself today as a spacious refurbished specialist hospital equipped with the latest medical technology. In addition, a comprehensive psychiatric outpatient network has been gradually expanded, with complementary services that provide authorized contact points for patients and their families seeking help.

Mainkofen District Hospital has become an important employer in the region. Currently there are more than 1500 employees at the hospital, of which 120 are doctors and 700 are qualified healthcare and nursing staff. They ensure that every patient feels well cared for and is treated according to their individual requirements.
